From the monthly archives: February 2012

We’ll be live Thursday night at 10pm EST right here on Gashouse Radio. We’ll return to our tradition of trying to trend a topic on Twitter, and this week it is #StonerDVR. Are you a stoner? If so, what’s on your DVR or Tivo? The possibilities with this hashtag (pun intended) are practically endless, and feel fee to tweet your favorites to me @stonerjesus420.

St. Peter in wedded bliss?

Whatever shows or movies get the most tweets @ me will get clips played during the broadcast. Be in the chat room to chill with St. Peter and I as we gear up for his wedding next week and also talk about our radio war. I got a chance to listen to our rival the other day, and let’s just say…it’s a hard-to-describe experience, but I’ll do my best to convey the horror of actually listening to 14 minutes of that show.

Get those tweets in to me and be in the chat room as we attempt to trend worldwide on twitter. We reached #1 worldwide on our last two attempts, can 3 be a charm? Can St. Peter live happily ever after with his beloved quadriplegic? Has there ever been a worse show than what goes down on this station Sunday nights?

All your questions will be answered Thursday!

Feat. A Great Big Pile of Leaves and powered by Weyerbacher‘s Merry Monks’. Amy sat in our 4th seat and codebynumbers.com is back!  After a battle with technology we discussed the anti-Oscars and the downfall of Adam Sandler. We did an investigative report on the fortune cookie and then things turned dark in the middle as they usually do. After that, things got hazy thanks to 9.3% alcohol by volume MONKS.

How long can Testosteroso hold the champion spot on Brain Office‘s Band vs Band? Will any band step up and knock them out of position? We’ve had some amazing bands come through, but no one can seem to touch Testosteroso. Today, we’ll see if Dead Cells can knock out the champs.

Testosteroso’s album Four Fathers is an incredible album. Seriously, you should pick it up. But we thought that regardless of how good a band is, the Band vs Band promo would work itself out and no band would last more than 6 or 7 days in a row.

Incorrect. This band keeps mowing down band after band. Will there be a band large enough to step up to Testosteroso? Or will they be the first band to be retired to our Hall of Fame? First they must get past today’s challenger Dead Cells.

Formed in late 2009, they’re a band filled with groove laden riffs and big funky bass lines coupled with melodic well crafted vocals, spanning a wide range of influences.

“For a band that have only been together a short time, they engage with the crowd like pros and you are immediately on their side. I loved it”

We’ll play one song from each band back to back at the beginning, middle, and end of the show. We ask you the listener to vote with the thumbs up/down buttons on our player page and on our Android/iPhone apps. These votes will determine who stays on to battle the following day.

We’ll also be playing #RadioRoulette for your chance to win all kinds of prizes, including 2 tickets to World Beer Fest at Murphy’s Bar in Levittown, PA. Brain Office, 5pm ET every weekday, only on www.gashouseradio.com.

Yeah, it’s going to be that kind of night on Gashouse Live at 8pm ET. Amy is in our 4th seat and our featured band is A Great Big Pile of Leaves. We’ve got plenty discuss regarding the shows from the past weekend. We have to tear apart check out the new Paris Hilton song and Limp Bizkit, Motorhead, Sex Pistols, and Aerosmith all made music news this week.

The elements of a tampon with applicator. Left...

But my favorite topic for tonight; do you know what the kids are up to these days? It involves vodka and tampons. Let’s see if we can get anyone to try it out tonight.

Hopefully we’ll have time to discuss Stephen Hawking’s latest adventures, a mind controlled skateboard, and a father who was arrested because of something his daughter drew in school.

Tune in to Gashouse Live tonight at 8pm ET, only on www.gashouseradio.com!
