Rev TJ McGlinchey
Philadelphia folk/blues artist Reverend TJ McGlinchey is this week’s long overdue featured band. The best way to get an idea of TJ can be found on his Facebook page:

Question: What do you call a man who grew up with a folk and bluegrass musician for a father, played punk rock in high school, honed his chops in blues clubs, studied classical music in college, and defies categorization in his current endeavors?

Answer: Reverend TJ McGlinchey.

The good reverend’s debut album Tell Me To Stay is a diverse group of songs that you can pick up in all major online stores. The best place to start would be www.revtj.com. If you check out his Reverbnation page, you can pick up a free download of There Was A Time, and his Soundcloud page is filled with live tracks from World Cafe Live.

This Thursday, Reverend TJ McGlinchey will be playing Kung Fu Necktie along with Joe D’Amico and Ben Smith. He’ll also be playing the Winter Doldrums Folk Fest on February 16th at World Cafe Live.

Reverend TJ McGlinchey will be in heavy rotation all week on Gashouse. You can also hear a song at the beginning of every episode of Gashouse Live (weekdays 5pm ET). So tune in all week, let us know what you think Rev TJ and head out to the Joe D’Amico CD Release Show this Thursday at Kung Fu Necktie!
