Gashouse Radio, a growing independent internet radio station based out of Philadelphia, is rapidly expanding their network with the addition of a third internet radio station; Grindhouse Radio.
In January of 2013 Gashouse Radio announced the addition of a second station; Hebe Radio. This sister station of Gashouse Radio is based out of the Hebe Music venue in Mt. holly, NJ. The station plays a related, but different group of bands both independent and mainstream, and has it’s own brand of live talk as well.
As of March 1st, 2013, Gashouse Radio has launched the third station in their network of internet radio; Grindhouse Radio.
While Gashouse Radio’s main goal was always to promote independent artists, the programming on the station became so diversified that it was difficult market the station properly. At the same time, the demand for more and more shows was becoming overwhelming; there are only 168 hours in a week. It became clear that another station was necessary.
Grindhouse is the new home of many shows that have been on Gashouse Radio in the past. Shows that have more adult-oriented themes can now be found on the new station. In addition to these talk shows, the music will focus more on the hard rock and heavy metal; while still supporting the independent artists.
Gashouse Radio will now spend the majority of the time focused on music, and music-related talk. While the station makes no boundaries based on genre, it was apparent that some of the heavier bands were not given the time or promotion they deserve. With those bands now highlighted on Grindhouse, Gashouse can focus on more of the “alternative” for lack of a better term.
The flagship show of the network, Gashouse Live, is seeing some changes of it’s own. Because the division of Gashouse has opened up a few timeslots, Gashouse Live is now expanding to a 3-hour show every weekday. So tune in to Gashouse Live now every weekday, 6pm – 9pm ET. Learn more about the radio stations, the independent music scene, and discover brand new music form the best up and and coming bands.
The separation of Gashouse and Grindhouse radio will allow for more focused marketing and faster growth. Between Gashouse Radio, Grindhouse Radio and Hebe Radio, there is always something playing for every interest; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
