This Wednesday our featured band of the week, Delco Pacers, will be joining us in studio for the Gashouse Acoustic Series. This is a great Philadelphia band that has been in rotation for months, and we’re finally gonna see these guys live.
Delco Pacers will release their debut LP Stereo Streets on Tuesday, November 19th, the follow-up to last year’s well-received Riddlewood EP. To celebrate, Delco Pacers will host a record release show for Stereo Streets at MilkBoy on Thu., Nov. 14, with special guests Morning River Band (Philadelphia) and The Naked Sun(Philadelphia).
Singer-guitarist Jonathan Pitts draws inspiration from a mix of equal parts ‘90s pop and Americana, as Pavlo Demkiv’s syncopated drumming and Evan Dick’s bass round out this indie-rock 3-piece. WXPN’s The Key describes Delco Pacers as having “a penchant for reflective melodic songs that blend jangling acoustic instrumentation with rumbling amplifiers and thumping drums, while carrying hints of Ryan Adams, Recovering the Satellites-era Counting Crows and late-’80s R.E.M.”
Check out Delco Pacers in heavy rotation all week on Gashouse Radio. You can hear a song at the beginning of each Gashouse Live (weekdays 6pm ET) and you can also find some of the new tracks on their Soundcloud page. If you like what you hear, head to Milkboy Philly on November 14th for the CD Release show!
