Joey DiTullio is a solo artist and writes and composes all his own songs, he is open to any kind of collaboration and is excited by the prospect of trying something new. Only 15 years old, Joey has laready made a name for himself in the Philadelphia music scene. He’s played some of the biggest original music venues in the area including World Cafe, Dobbs, and the TLA. Go to joeyditullio.com for more information, and look for his demo CD at an upcoming show.
In addition to Joey’s in-studio appearance, we’ve also got a bunch of new music to debut with our segment The Radar. Here’s a look at today’s bands:
The Non-Domestiks: Take early 70’s ballad pop in the likes of the Carpenters and Elton John, combine it with a hint of art and prog rock with classical influences similar to the Moody Blues and Renaissance, then throw in some Lou Reed, Bowie and Rundgren for a little edge and you may have an idea of what The Non-Domestiks sound like.
Skinny Cool Kid: SCK has become a staple in our new segment, making an appearance every day since we’ve started. Go to skinnycoolkid.bandcamp.com and pick up the EP No Risk. You’ll hear why our listeners are voting SCK to the top spot everyday.
Matthew Mirliani: A native of the Washington, D.C. suburbs, Matthew Mirliani grew up performing in church musicals, and started recording at 13 years-old. A current sophomore at Dartmouth College, Matthew is an ambient-pop singer-songwriter who has had singles and albums on iTunes, has played on Jango internet radio, and has been called a “gifted artist” by Indie Artists Alliance. He has performed at Dartmouth as well as in the Northern Virginia area, and is currently promoting his latest EP “Cardboard.”
Bri Payne: Bri Payne is a young talented alternative rock recording artist from the United States. We are writing & recording new music from the Jersey Shore and are looking forward to building relations with our fans.
Jenny & Me: Originally an acoustic indie project of Jenny Pilong (vocals) and Stephen Kocher (guitar), formed in 2008 and released an EP entitled “Neon Halos” (which they co-produced with Andrew Lipke). In 2013, they expanded to include Tom Barrett on bass and Kyle Maxwell on drums and the sound evolved into an 80s new wave influenced indie rock.
Layden Robinson: a performer of Alternative, Blue Eyed Soul Music influenced by some of the Modern and Past greats such as Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Joe Cocker, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Prince, Kings Of Leon, The Black Crowes and TOOL.
