into the weekend

Gashouse Live returns tonight at 6pm ET to take you into the weekend on an entertaining note. We will give you all of your options for live entertainment happening this weekend in the area, and we encourage you to join us in the chat room to fill in any shows that we miss.

We will also be finishing up our new Youtube playlist of the greatest bass lines in songs, so we would love your input on that as well. Soul to Squeeze from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and In the Meantime by Spacehog are two examples that will definitely make the list.

And of course we will debut some of the newest music to come to the station. Here’s a look at tonight’s bands:

today's bandsSkinny Cool Kid: SCK has officially dominated the entire first 2 weeks of The Radar. Everyday we play 3 tracks, and everyday our listeners make SCK the highest voted band of the debuts. 8 days in a row, and if he makes 7 more, he will be added to a small list of “retired champions“.

The BallRoom Babies: The intensity of a BallRoom Babies performance equates to the magic of a thousand symphonies colliding. The chemistry of the three brothers ignites instantly on stage as a result of a love for their trade and years of experience performing together. The result brings smiles to many who listen to their music or watch and feel their electricity on stage.

: A band from NY and Ct that has tried to blend rock funk and fusion to create an original sound. Their album is available for free on Reverbnation.

: An “Alternative” Rock Band from Philadelphia trying to give you all some great rock music. We currently have our debut LP in the works to share with the world, and an EP entitled “Crone” out.

: A rock n’ roll band based in New York City. Taking influence from blues, folk, and experimental music, From Below’s visceral energy takes you on a ride that is always one chord change away from careening out of control.

: Formed and started performing at local bars in the area, playing body moving originals and a great selection of covers with a demanding stage presence.  “The Movers” have been working on fresh material, and will be back on the road again soon, going harder than ever.

Ego Alien: a brand new band poised to take on the East Coast music scene with debut concerts in Atlantic City, NJ on 1/18/14 at La Grande Fromage and in Philadelphia, PA on 1/24/14 at the M-Room. A new EGO ALIEN EP featuring heavy melodic rock songs will be released in early January 2014 on Thirsty Records. Look for the new EGO ALIEN EP, “CRAWL ON THE EDGE”, everywhere.

Liz and Kurt will be joining us in studio as well. On Fridays we simulcast on neueregelradio.com as well, and it is always a good time. So grab a drink, and start your weekend off with Gashouse Live at 6pm ET.
