This weeks featured band have a brand new album coming out this week and a release party this Saturday.
Tungsten are a progressive rock band out of Philadelphia. Since their inception in 2012, the band has been spreading their name in venues across the Philly area. They also made quite a name for themselves on our station, enough to snag the last spot in our 2013 Tournament of Champions.
This Tuesday Tungsten release their debut album the Reservoir. This album has been in rotation for a few weeks now, and it is definitely worth picking up. Go to tungstenphilly.com for more information. The album is great from beginning to end. Intricate songwriting and impressive instrumentation make this album one of the first highlights of new music in 2014.
To help celebrate the release of the album, Tungsten will be playing their album release party this Saturday January 18th at The Fire. Also playing are Power Theory, Midnite Hellion and In the Presence of Wolves. Tickets are only $8 and the show starts at 8pm.
Tune in all week to hear Tungsten in heavy rotation. We will start off every episode of Gashouse Live with a track from the Reservoir. Make sure you find them on Facebook and Twitter for more updates and show announcements. And if you are in the Philly area, get to The Fire on Saturday for the Tungsten release party!
