amelia scalies

This weeks featured artist has a very important show coming this Sunday, February 9th

Amelia Scalies is a 15 year-old singer-songwriter from West Chester, PA. The only reason I mention her age is because you would never know how young she is by the sound of her voice or the professionalism of her music. Take a listen to I Should’ve Known and you will see what I mean.

Produced at TribeSound Records, Amelia’s debut album contains 11 well-written tracks, and a My Chemical Romance cover as well. Over 150 radio stations, including Gashouse Radio, have Amelia in regular rotation. This has allowed some of the songs on the album to climb the nationally recognized Friday Morning Quarterback Top 40/AC Charts. You can learn more about the album and pick up a copy at ameliascalies.com.

Its one thing to record an album, and another to perform the songs in front of an audience; especially at the age of 15. Well we’ve seen Amelia do just that and she is very comfortable on stage in front of a crowd. The full band recorded tracks translate nicely to Amelia and an acoustic guitar. Theres never been a better time to see for yourself than this coming Sunday.

amelia scaliesSunday, February 9th, go see Amelia Scalies perform at the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, PA. This event is a SXSW competition, and the show starts at 4pm. One performer from Sunday will be picked to head down to Austin, TX. Not only is this a great venue to see Amelia Scalies, but its a gigantic opportunity and she could use your help. Click here for more info and to RSVP to the Facebook event.

Tickets to the World Cafe show this coming Sunday are $9.00, but we have a few pairs of tickets to giveaway this week on Gashouse Live (weekdays 6pm ET).
