This week’s featured band is Brooklyn’s Bree and the Whatevers
Bree and the Whatevers first appeared on Gashouse in the beginning of 2014. They were actually the first band on our segment The Radar. The band is composed of 3 members Bree, her brother Matthew Klauser (guitar) and Dan Kessler (bass/keys). They have a unique sound that combines a blues rock feel with elements of cabaret.
Bree is a singer/songwriter/musical theatre actress in NYC. Bree and the Whatevers are her latest project, but Bree has been making music for quite some time. You can check out more of her work at breeandthewhatevers.com. In the fall of last year they released a live album, recorded at The Bitter End in NYC. You can pick up that album from their Bandcamp page at a name your price basis.
Speaking of live, we just added Bree and the Whatevers to our show at Connie’s Ric Rac on April 5th! Make sure you join us for Bree and the Whatevers, Preston Hull, Even Man Out, and Red Letter Life. This is an excellent lineup and is sure to make for a great night.
So tune in all week to hear Bree and the Whatevers in heavy rotation. You will hear a track at the beginning of every episode of Gashouse Live (weekdays 6pm) as well. And make sure you come out to Connie’s Ric Rac next Saturday, April 5th!
