bosom band
This week’s featured artist is Bosom Band, and they are a part of the Yes Ma’am show this Friday at Connie’s Ric Rac!

Bosom Band are an unmistakable band in the Gashouse Radio rotation. Their bluesy sound is unlike any other we play. The music is classic, and the vocals grabs everyone by surprise. Anytime I’ve ever played a Bosom Band track for anyone, the first thing that strikes them is Monica’s voice. Powerful, sultry vocals reminiscent of the original blues voice of 20’s and 30’s.

bosom bandAnd often times you will hear Bosom Band covering some of these old tunes, which fits in a set of their original songs like a glove. We’ve seen Bosom Band a few times and they never disappoint. They’ve been one of the many bands to come in studio for an acoustic set, and one track from that set ended up on our Acoustic Compilation Volume 1. Those acoustic tracks along with songs from their album Autumn Comes are always available to request, and they will be in heavy rotation all this week.

I highly recommend you come out to Connie’s Ric Rac this Friday night for the Yes Ma’am Show! This show will be all female-fronted bands including Bosom Band, Sucker, Little War Twins (Boston) and Every Heard. The show is 21+ and $8 at the door. This is a great lineup and a great place to see a show.

So tune in all week to hear Bosom Band in heavy rotation. Catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (weeknights 6pm ET). And join us this Friday at Connie’s Ric Rac!
