Coining the subgenre “Rock n’ Soul,” Midnight Mosaic is this week’s featured band.
And, hot damn, do they have soul…

With influences including The Talking Heads, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Prince and Parliament Funkadelic, Midnight Mosaic is a happy concoction of pop, dance, funk, hip hop, and, of course, soul; a sound simultaneously retro and fresh that is impossibly contagious to the eardrums. Though fairly new to the music scene, this six piece from Asbury Park has already achieved worldwide recognition being showcased in an impressive range of blogs, magazines, and radio shows spanning across the US to the UK.

Try your best not to miss Midnight Mosaic’s FREE single release party Friday May 8th with Jakki Roberts at Time Out Sports Bar and Grill in Barrington, NJ (www.facebook.com/events). As a peak into what’s to come, the single “Outside the Lines” was produced by the Grammy Award winning David Ivory (Halestorm, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Patti LaBelle), and mastered by Grammy Award winner Tom Coyne (Sam Smith, Adele, Beyoncé, Pink, Taylor Swift, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Maroon 5, Arianna Grande, Britney Spears). Not to mention, the extraordinary Pablo Batista (Alicia Keys, Bono, Norman Brown) added percussion to the track completely surrounding the band with an overabundance of all-star talent. I may be getting ahead of myself, but the future holds great things for Midnight Mosaic.
