Overtaking Philadelphia with a fantastic sense of humor, The Good Excuses is this week’s featured band.
Forming in 2011 from the suburbs of Willow Grove, PA; The Good Excuses ain’t your garden-variety type of band. With influences including The Pixies, Ween, The Flaming Lips, Nirvana, and The Dead Milkmen, this four piece displays a type of “fun-ness” and chemistry that not many bands can achieve. Self- recorded, mixed, and mastered debut album, 30 Minutes or Less, received airplay from 93.7 WSTW and 93.3 WMMR, and scored them nearly 40 shows before it even was released.
The Good Excuses are lined up to open for 90’s throwback Everclear in a FREE show event at XFINITY Live! Wednesday June 17th. Don’t forget to tune in all this week to hear The Good Excuses in heavy rotation. You can catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (Tuesday/Thursday 7pm ET).
