Ok….so “Just Say No” was totally 80’s hair metal grunge style. I did love it, however the message of just saying no was completely not the message I got. In fact, the song got me so excited that I just wanted to say yes and party like they did back then. The vocals and instrumentals to me sounded pretty good, especially since they are going after that 80’s style flair. “Is this Happening” is a power ballad with a great range in vocals and instrumentals. “Don’t Run Away” is my favorite!! The music is very 80’s inspired, but really sucks you in and makes you want more. The artists really take you back in time when music had a real lyrical meaning and soul behind it. You can really enjoy the music and dance like no one is watching. I love the way the piano is used in this song and reminds me of Jerry Lee Lewis. The melody and overall feel of the song is really capturing!! “Waiting” and “Treat Her Like a Lady” both have amazing guitar solos that are enthralling.
I would give it a 8 out of 10, mostly because the music is way out dated and may not have a lot of listeners. The timing of this release is off by a few decades but the original hair band fans will be not only impressed but stoked. This band has a lot of talent and are very fun and uplifting to listen to.
