Authentic Jersey Swamp Funk since 2003; Trenton’s own Honey Spot Blvd is this week’s featured.
Fronted by the soulful Jessica Paris, U.S. Army veteran and host of Gashouse Radio’s That’s How We Roll, Honey Spot Blvd is a sweet mixture of rock, pop, blues, and funk. However influenced by artists such as Jeff Buckley, Frank Zappa and Bootsy Collins, Honey Spot Blvd’s sound resonates a type of mid 90’s nostalgia like early Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple, and the Cranberries. Their unique sound is only amplified by their solid live performances and humble personalities.
Check out Roadhouse this Thursday August 20th for a FREE Honey Spot Blvd interview and acoustic set. Don’t forget to tune in all this week to hear Honey Spot in heavy rotation. You can catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (Tuesday/Thursday 7pm ET). If you like (or hate) what you hear, please share your opinion by using the thumbs up/down buttons!
