Hardcore Trekkies? Maybe. Featured band of the week? Yes.
Check out Pennsylvania’s own Minshara.

The Vulcan term Minshara, aka Class M, is a fictional grouping of planets and planetoids capable of supporting humanoid life. This classification is derived from the unmistakable sci-fi television and movie franchise Star Trek. Although Minshara’s musical influences may not necessarily be Star Trek related, and Trekkie-Con appearances are highly doubtable, they certainly have a dedicated following. Since the release of their debut single “Into the Night” in April 2014, Minshara has shared stages Crobot and Flyleaf, headlined May 2014’s Dewey Beach Popfest, and was WMMR’s Jaxon’s Local Shots “Artist of the Month” last October. The pop-rock four piece released their first full-length iO, produced by Taylor Larson (From First to Last, Darkest Hour, We Came as Romans), in June of the same year and have been touring ever since. With an ample supply of crowd pleasing sing-a-longs, Minshara’s performances are exhilarating and electrifying. Don’t miss Minshara this Friday the 18th at the Hard Rock with Gashouse favorites Kid Felix and In the Presence of Wolves.

Tune in all this week to hear Minshara in heavy rotation. You can also catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (Tuesday/Thursday 7pm ET).
