Detroit joke-rock since 2001; Downtown Brown’s mutant musical stylings and politically incorrect lyrics has won them a mass array of loyal fans across the US.

Punk, funk, metal, rock, and hip-hop; Downtown Brown’s genre may be indecisive, but their live shows are infectious and ridiculously entertaining. After over a decade of melodic venturing, DTB has released six full length albums, two live albums, and multiple DVDs. Their incessant touring and constant media updates has led them to share stages with big-name acts such as Andrew W.K., The Adicts, Dead Kennedys, Peelander-Z, Fishbone, Psychostick, and Insane Clown Posse(check out ICP and Downtown Brown’s Yo Gabba Gabba cover of “Hold Still” here).

Downtown Brown’s discography, including their most recent live album Hot Part, is available for free streaming and download on Bandcamp.com. Don’t miss DTB with Sparklefight and Dr. Beardface & the Spaceman this Friday November 6th at Harper’s Pub & Restaurant. NO COVER!

Tune in all this week to hear Downtown Brown in heavy rotation. You can catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (Tuesday/Thursday 7pm ET). If you like (or hate) what you hear, please share your opinion by using the thumbs up/down buttons! Check out DTB’s official webpage and Facebook for more info and updates
