Singer, songwriter CLO joins us for an insightful look into her studio days with multi platinum producer, Warren Huart and her plans into 2020.Thank you for this interview opportunity, please share with us how you developed your unique pop sound and when did you become an artist, officially?!

Hello, and thank you for chatting with me! I’ve always had a unique voice/sound so when I started making my music back in February with Warren Huart, it all came together… That is when I blossomed into the artist I am today.

How do you balance a touring lifestyle with a regular life as an emerging artist?

Since my project is still in the works, my touring schedule is TBD… Balancing my work with my regular life as an emerging artist is really simple because I always find ways to be creative in, and out of the studio. Music is my life!

If you had to describe your sound with only one song of yours, which one would you choose?

My music is yet to be released, but once you listen to my project you will find that is a soulful pop r&b blend of my truths.

Favorites from your upcoming album?

I am obsessed with every song on my record! My favorite song is called “Blackout”. This song came so naturally in the studio, and has a dope vibe.

If you had the opportunity to meet one band or artist who would you choose and why?

If I could meet one artist it would be either Frank Ocean or Rihanna… I would love to pick their brains, and see what their creative processes looks like. You can feel such passion through their music and I admire that.

How do you feel the independent music scene is evolving and do you like where it’s headed?

The independent music scene has really come a long way thanks to social media. It gives a lot of people the opportunity to be heard. I think it’s headed in a really positive direction with the support of all new emerging artists. It’s so important that artists support other artists.

We all have “aha” moments that help us continue on our journey.  What have been your “aha” moments in the music industry?

My “aha” moment was the first day I stepped into the studio with Warren Huart. I always new I had a voice and a message, but seeing it translated through my music was a very special moment… I knew that this is what I am meant to be doing. I am so beyond grateful for this collaboration…

What does 2020 have in store for you?

2020 is going to be a huge year for me. My record will be ready for the world to hear, and I cannot be more thrilled about that. I have worked so hard on this, and know that 2020 will be a pivotal year for my music. Stay tuned!
