cold roses

Do not miss Gashouse Live today at 6pm ET. We’ve got Cold Roses in studio, a on of brand new music, free tickets to World Cafe Live this Sunday and much more!

Cold Roses are a bluesy rock band out of Philadelphia. We’ve seen them play a few times and they are fantastic. Their music is awesome, and their stage presence allows Cold Roses to pick up new fans every time they play. Last night they played the Live Sessions at Voltage Lounge, and they’ve got a few more shows lined up in the near future. Go to for more info and a full list of upcoming shows.

“Though they’re from Philly, Cold Roses sound like they’re straight out of a Texas roadhouse with their old-style country rock/blues combo.”- WXPN’s The Key, Feb. ’13

Cold Roses will be in studio tonight for a short interview and acoustic performance. Our Youtube Live Stream should be running as well so make sure you join us tonight at 6pm ET! In addition to Cold Roses, we will continue round 3 of our segment The Radar. Here are today’s bands:

a Philly-based alt-rock-pop band with a unique sound and powerful live stage presence. The music is melodic, with a focus on haunting vocals and interesting harmonies, a rock drive with many influences from various musical eras and genres.

: an alternative metal band that infuses melodic rhythms with harmonic vocals and ferocious guitars to create a unique powerful blend that demands attention from both rock and metal enthusiasts alike.

: raunchy pop with a twist of lime – songs about love found, love lost and love misplaced

: is Ed Russakoff who accompanies his distinctive vocals on guitar, harmonica, bass and percussion. The music is blues based but explores beyond the boundaries of the genre.

: Literate indie pop music with ’80s chime, folksy charm, and post-punk noise. Like that part in _Ratatouille_ when the restaurant critic eats the ratatouille.

Dialogue From a Silent Film: Returning from Tuesdays edition of The Radar. Our listeners like these guys enough to vote them into another day. A LOUD post-punk band from Brooklyn, NY with a truly twisted take on pop music.

Skinny Cool Kid: Back for a third appearance on The Radar. Check out this singer-songwriter from West Chester and grab his EP No Risk on Bandcamp.

Plus, we have another prize pack from Amelia Scalies that will be giving away to one listener. The prize pack includes her album I Should’ve Known, a t-shirt, stickers, guitar picks, a USB flash drive with the digital album and 2 tickets to World Cafe Live this Sunday.
