new music mondays

New Music Mondays kicks off at 6pm ET on Gashouse Live

Tonight we have plenty to discuss, and tons of music to introduce. Our IndieGoGo campaign is fast approaching (it launches next Monday, click here for more info) and we need to discuss a few pieces of this project tonight. Plus, we will be recapping the weekend, and looking ahead at all the great shows coming up around the Philadelphia area.

We have 7 different brand new tracks on our segment The Radar and we need your opinion on each. Just use the thumbs up/down buttons when you hear a song on Gashouse Radio. That “vote” helps us determine how often the songs are played in regular rotation. Here’s a little about the bands we are playing today:

new music mondaysBobby Thompson: Bobby T debuted last week on The Radar, and instantly shot into the Top 10 Countdown (everyday at 5am and 5pm ET). This bluesy rock artist is out of Virginia, and has a handful of shows coming up n the DC area. Tune in to see if Bobby T can make it 3 days straight on The Radar.

: This rock band out of Philadelphia recently released their EP Ten Cigarettes. On May 16th the band is playing Final Score in Bensalem, PA.

Skeleton Disco: 3 piece indie rock band from Skelmersdale, simple setup trying to make catchy tunes with meaningful lyrics. Band consists of Tom Foster(vocals+guitar) Brad Anderson(bass) Ant Meadows (drums). The song Sound The Alarm is about a girl who was walking the line of friends and more than friends, the song touches on the feelings of wanting to know how she felt.

About a year ago we debuted this West Virginia hard rck band, and they had a very positive response from our listeners. Today they are back on The Radar with a brand new single, Wither, Bleed and Scream.

: The People Now is a world traveled alternative rock band hailing from Seattle, Washington – creating their dynamic, high energy surround sound music around social awareness and partnering with charitable organizations. This band’s blend of well-crafted, intricately constructed songs, thought-provoking lyrics and cause-orientation is what draws their distinction from bands of the same genre. Their live performance provides a phenomenal multi-media experience for the audience with a well-orchestrated light show, complete Surround Sound, video backdrop and material relevant to the featured cause.

: Taking their name from a mixture of a random online band name generator, and the fact that lead singer Alix has some unique dancing skills, big things are expected from Peculiar Disco Moves within the near future. Having had an interesting existence in a number of rehearsal studios which have ranged from a glue factory to a converted dentist surgery, the band have since gone on to receive exposure on a large number of local and national radio stations since the release of their debut EP in 2011.

: This Philadelphia funk band also debuted last year on Gashouse Radio. They have a sound unlike most other bands we have on the station. Recently they recorded a new single that we have for today’s show. This band is getting ready to head down to Florida for a handful of shows. Check out theroyalnoise.com for more information.

So tune in tonight to Gashouse Live for a dose of brand new music! In addition to everything mentioned above, it is Dave’s birthday! Dave is our co-host on Monday nights and the frontman for Wooden HEZ, so who knows what sort of activities might ensue. Gashouse Live, weekdays 6pm ET on www.gashouseradio.com!
