Blue Food will be putting the F-U in “Funk” this Saturday night at Connie’s Ric Rac
This week’s featured band are no strangers to Gashouse Radio. Blue Food has been a part of the station for a long time, and they’ve been favorites of some of our regular listeners. This is not your typical funk band. Blue Food put a progressive spin on their songs which makes for an awesome sound, paired with and awesome live show.
We made a trip up to Hoboken last winter just to see this live show, and they certainly did not disappoint. All 7 members of the band are extremely talented in their position. They would have to be to re-create the sound of their debut album Engines. Earlier this year we saw them at Dobbs and again they put on one hell of a show.
So we asked Blue Food to come down to Philly once again, and they will be here this Saturday, 9/21 at Connie’s Ric Rac. Also playing this show are Ill Doots, The Funky T and Coco Butter Band. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW! This is going to be a party from beginning to end.
Check out bluefood.com to sample their album and find more show dates. They will be in heavy rotation all week, and you’ll hear a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (weekdays 6pm ET). Most importantly, come join us at Connie’s Ric Rac this Saturday!
