Tungsten are the new Band vs Band champions on Gashouse Live! Yesterday we debuted 3 tracks from their upcoming album the Reservoir which is set for release on January 14, 2014. The debut did so well that 1 song shot to #2 in our Top 10 Countdown (everyday at 5am and 5pm ET). Tune in today to see if Tungsten can make it two in a row, and make sure you check them out December 7th at North Star Bar. Go to tungstenphilly.com for more information.
Kind of Creatures, a trio out of Wilmington, DE also had a strong debut. In September they released their EP Narrow Spaces and it is available on Bandcamp. Upon listening, influences can be detected from British glam, garage, and lo-fi rock genres. Their especially dance-able beats, clever riffs, and bewitching vocal melodies make for an arresting live performance with no shortage of raw energy. They are playing a plethora of shows in Philly in Nov and Dec starting with a double-header this weekend at the Grape Room (Friday night) and The Voltage Lounge this Saturday afternoon. Check out their Facebook page for more info.
We’ve got 3 songs from both bands today on Gashouse Live at 6pm ET. We need you to tune in and tell us what you think of each track using our thumbs up/down buttons. These votes will determine which band comes back tomorrow to face a new challenger. In addition to the Band vs Band segment, we’ve got new music from Clear The Battle Field, The Dale Von Minaker Band, and Uforia. Tune in, and participate in the show using our chat room!
