Today’s Bands on Gashouse Live

13 January 2014

today's bandsEveryday we debut new music on Gashouse Live as part of our segment The Radar. We pick 5 or 6 bands form the submissions. We play a track from each at 9am, 2pm, and third track from each on our show Gashouse Live (weekdays 6pm ET).

This is a great way to discover new music, and a chance for you to participate as well. When you hear a song on Gashouse, please use the thumbs up/down buttons to let us know what you think of each. Those votes will determine which of these bands get put into regular rotation, which bands end up in the Top 10 Countdown, etc. One of these bands on The Radar will come back again tomorrow. Here are today’s bands:

Hamish Anderson: Having made a name for himself across the local scene for his impressive live show that encompasses a mix of blues, rock and folk with moments of loud, electric blues-soaked songs as well as delicate acoustic balladry, Hamish Anderson’s debut EP comes armed with a host of noteworthy tunes and a songwriting and vocal maturity well beyond his twenty-one years.

Skinny Cool Kid: SCK are the first to dominate this segment in 2014. Now making a 5th straight appearance on The Radar, this West Chester singer-songwriter has made quite an impression on our audience. Pick up the EP No Risk from Bandcamp, and tune in to see if SCK can continue their streak.

Beautiful Gambler: a pop/rock/indie band . Science fiction meets Zen while wearing a cowboy hat.
L.A. s best kept secret.

Kink Ador: the Nashville rock band of artist and songwriter Sharon Koltick. The singer-bassist-trumpet-blowing empress spent her youth raging along the Indiana highways in a slick Camero with T-tops. We saw Kink Ador at a Dobbs open jam a few months back and were quite impressed with the music and the stage presence. I have a feeling Kink Ador will be in rotation for quite some time.

The Wilde: an independent 5 piece alternative rock band from Yorkshire, UK. Check out their Bandcamp page for a few singles.

Its Monday so Dave from Wooden HEZ will be joining us in studio. We have merch to giveaway to, the weekend to recap, and much more to discuss. So dont miss the show! Tune in at 6pm, vote on today’s bands, and join the conversation in our chat room!
