Fresh from Jersey’s finest suburbia, Berkeley Heights, Alter The Ending is this week’s featured band.
Although this four piece band may be of high school age, Alter The Ending’s professionalism could ultimately land them a permanent spot in the mainstream pop punk world. Having already played Bamboozle 2011, Starland Ballroom, and the infamous Stone Pony, their potential is vast. In January of last year, Alter The Ending released their second EP; Tired Ships. This five song collection was recorded at Barber Shop Studios in Hopatcong, NJ and does not disappoint fans of 2011’s Gone Again, their debut EP. While Alter The Ending’s name may be taken from a Dashboard Confessional track, influences such as Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, and The Starting Line are evident in their music.
Tired Ships and Gone Again are both available for download on iTunes and Amazon. So brush up on your Alter The Ending before this coming Friday January 9th. You won’t want to miss their astounding punk show at Connie’s Ric Rac along with Poster Child, Matt and The Lower Standards, Venice Sunlight, and Reverse Order.
Don’t forget to tune in all this week to hear Alter The Ending in heavy rotation. You can catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (weeknights 6pm ET). If you like what you hear, please use the thumbs up/down buttons to share your opinion. Craving more info? Check out the below links.
