Donald Robinson is a pop and blues singer from New York. His rendition of “Love Me Tender,” is not the best but does not lack potential. Listening to Donald’s rendition, I felt a bit bored. The sound was very muffled and not well recorded. A very expensive sound mixing computer designed to mix sound for motion pictures and television commercials was used to mix Love Me Tender to obtain the latest technology for digital sound. Love Me Tender was digital sound mixed at the Marketing and Advertising Division of Music Annex located in San Francisco, CA.
It’s a huge challenge to cover Elvis Presley, and usually no one can top him. So, I have a lot of respect for Donald. However, he is very pitchy at times, which needs to be changed if he wants to make it. If Donald works on his pitch, and gets a clearer recording of his songs, he may just be able to wow me.
Over-all, I would say Donald needs some work on his vocal technique. But, with the right tools and practice, he can improve immensely. I’d definitely like to see him change up his ways and succeed. I wish him the best of luck and hope to see him take my advice and make it where he wants to be.
