One rock song at a time, Satellite Hearts are taking over Philadelphia…
Then, the world…
Emerging from the small town of New Hope, PA; Satellite Hearts broke out of the music scene during the end of 2009. Justin Pellecchia (guitar, vocals, and harmonica), Lucas Rinz (bass, vocals) and Keaton Thandi (drums, percussion, and vocals) draw from blues, punk, grunge, and classic rock n’ roll to create their simultaneously nostalgic and innovative sound. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Kinks, The Who, T-Rex, and Pellecchia’s fascination with Elvis all aid to the overall execution and image of what is Satellite Hearts. Collectively, Satellite Hearts aim on bringing the real raw effortless-ness of rock n’ roll back, and I’d say they’re doing a pretty good job.
Following up to their debut Imperial Green and Four To The Floor EP, Satellite Hearts second full length album entitled Desire Forces The Flow is set and ready to release July 21st. Excited? You should be, because the release show is at Ortliebs in Philadelphia on July 17th. Not to mention, Satellite Hearts will be playing the Italian Market Festival May 17th on the Gashouse Stage. Try your best to make it out. You won’t be sorry.
Don’t forget to tune in all this week to hear Satellite Hearts in heavy rotation. You can catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (Tuesday/Thursday 7pm ET). If you like (or hate) what you hear, please share your opinion by using the thumbs up/down buttons.
