Folk rock Americana form Philly- Railroad Fever is this week’s featured band.
This five piece began in 2009 when singer/songwriter Tim McCollum and bassist Geoff Hynes started taking their homegrown tunes to bars in and around Philadelphia. In 2012, Railroad Fever finally recorded their first studio album, Things You Lost, with Tom Spiker and Kevin Hanson (The Fractals, Huffamoose). Railroad Fever is a slice of the Americana pie serving up and delivering to all their live shows, so don’t miss them this Thursday the 18th at the Gold Star Park concert series in South Philly.
Additionally, Railroad Fever is set to play Saturday the 20th at Robin & Beth Fest 11 presented by Moonlight Forest Productions and hosted by Hezekiah Jones. Join Gashouse Radio and Railroad Fever with El Caribefunk, Chris Kasper, Tin Bird Choir, The Manatawny Creek Ramblers, The Wallace Brothers Band, Sparkle Pony, and more at the Peaceful Woodlands Family Campground in Blakeslee, PA for shear summer awesomeness.
Don’t forget to tune in all this week to hear Railroad Fever in heavy rotation. You can catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (Tuesday/Thursday 7pm ET).
