Conceived in 2006, homegrown Philadelphians Jace Miller, Mike Fraclose, and Rob Perry make up the alternative rock group known by locals as Alright Junior… aka this week’s featured band.

It’s been a little less than a decade since Alright Junior came into existence. For most bands, it takes at least that long to establish a niche in the music scene. With consistent releases and a dedicated fan base, Alright Junior has permanently landed on the map. In addition to sharing the stage with big name bands such as Incubus, Cake, Circa Survive, Flogging Molly, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Young the Giant, KONGOS, and The Ataris; Alright Junior has appeared on Radio 104.5 exclusives including two live in-studio sessions, 104.5’s 5th Birthday Party in 2012, and June 2014’s Summer Block Party. Having the privilege of working with well-respected producers/mixers like UE Nastasi (Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes, Panic! At the Disco), Tim “Rumblefish Gilles (Rage Against, INXS, Taking Back Sunday), Alan Douches (Mastadon, Alkaline Trio, Ben Folds Five), Steven LaFashia (John Lennon, Nine Inch Nails), Bogdan Hernik (Lou Reed, Sonic Youth, Soul Asylum), and Fred Kevorkian (Sonic Youth, Iggy Pop, The White Stripes) has only furthered their popularity and reputation. In 2014, Alright Junior was approached by London based breakthrough companies Sofar Creative & Cue Songs in promise to help spread their music through movies, TV, and other media outlets.

Check out Alright Junior at The 4th Annual Liberty Music Fest Sunday August 30th on the Outdoor Stage with Dr. Beardspace and the Spacemen, 1FM, The Good Mess and more! Alright Junior is currently recording new material, but in the meantime don’t miss them in heavy rotation all this week. You can catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (Tuesday/Thursday 7pm ET). If you like (or hate) what you hear, please share your opinion by using the thumbs up/down buttons!
