From a small town in upstate New York, Phantasm moved to Philadelphia in 2007 to kick-start their music career playing at old favorites like Grape Street, North Star Bar, and Doc Watsons.
With influences including Rage Against the Machine, Primus, The Mars Volta, King Crimson, and The Flaming Lips; Phantasm displays a unique controlled chaos and electrifying experience that leaves their fans itching for more. After three studio releases, one live album and countless touring, Phantasm has had the privilege of sharing stages with Andrew W.K., Terrible Things (feat. Fred Macherino), As Tall As Lions, Just Like Vinyl (feat. Thomas Erak), Living Colour, and The Memorials (feat. Thomas Pridgen).
Although Phantasm has been laying low for the past couple years, and using their musical talents for Wonder and Fury, this three piece is currently writing new material. Don’t worry, Steven Rosplock assures it won’t be “anything less than 100 percent kick ass.”
Join Phantasm, The One2s, and Pravda this Friday November 13th at Connie’s Ric Rac in the Italian Market. Check out their Facebook, Reverb, and Bandcamp for more updates and free streaming. Don’t Forget to tune in all this week to hear Phantasm in heavy rotation. You can catch a track at the beginning of every Gashouse Live (Tuesday/Thursday 7pm ET).
